About Battle Ground, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, Battle Ground is a small city with about 1,400 residents. Its name comes from the community’s close proximity to the Battle of Tippecanoe site. Battle Ground was founded in 1867 and consolidated with the Town of Harrisonville, and the Tippecanoe Battlefield Monument was placed here in 1908. There are two schools in the city – Battle Ground Elementary and Battle Ground Middle – and students will continue on to complete their education at Harrison High School in nearby West Lafayette.

Despite the small population there are several interesting things to see and do in Battle Ground. The Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum is a popular destination for history buffs, and there are several parks and natural areas in the community. Wolf Park and Prophetstown State Park are among the most visited. Families may enjoy a trip to the Farm at Prophetstown with their children or a visit to the Boiler Corn Maze during the autumn months. There are also several great places to get a good meal in the area, including TC’s Restaurant and Tavern, Eye Opener Café, and the Battle Ground Pizza King.

The weather conditions in Battle Ground are markedly different with the changing seasons. Summers are hot with high humidity, and average highs reach into the 80s during July and August. The occasional heat wave with temperatures over 90 degrees are common, so residents typically invest in energy-efficient central air conditioners. A system with a high SEER rating will lower energy costs while also maintaining a comfortable temperature.

When the winter season begins in December, conditions cool off quickly. Freezing temperatures and moderate snowfall are common, and the right gas or electric furnace is a necessity. These systems keep interior warm while ensuring good air quality throughout the year. When frigid conditions force Battle Ground residents indoors, they’ll feel condiment that their furnace will keep them comfortable, healthy, and safe.
