About Lafayette, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Lafayette, Indiana is located about 63 miles northwest of the capital city of Indianapolis. Approximately 67,000 people call this city home, and over the last decade, the community has seen a roughly 20% increase in population. Lafayette serves as the county seat of Tippecanoe County and is located across the Wabash River from West Lafayette, home of Purdue University. While much of the economy of the area is centered on the activities of Purdue University, there are also private businesses that offer employment opportunities, including Alcoa, Wabash National, Caterpillar, Cargill, and several others.

Lafayette is home to many popular attractions and sites in the region. The Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art and the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette are found here, and the Long Center for the Performing Arts houses the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra. Golf enthusiasts might like to practice their swing at the Coyote Crossing Golf Club or Tee Off Golf 2 Driving Range, while families might prefer a little less action at Monster Mini Golf. Lafayette also hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, including Feast of the Hunters’ Moon, Mosey Down Main Street, A Taste of Tippecanoe, and the Uptown Jazz and Blues Festival.

Lafayette is found within a humid continental climate zone, which offers four distinct seasons. Each season requires its own climate control systems, especially during the hot and humid summer months. Average highs reach well into the 80s, and when humidity levels get especially high, it can feel sticky and uncomfortable. The right central air conditioner is a great way to stay cool.

The spring and autumn months in Lafayette are cool and a little wet, but dangerous conditions move into the area in the winter. Average daily highs reach the mid-30s from December through early March, but overnight lows can fall below freezing. Without the right gas or electric furnace, residents could find themselves in a dangerous situation outdoors. An experienced HVAC technician can ensure that units are in proper working order.
